This is the post excerpt.

Hi y’all! Welcome to my very first blog post! Now, before I get into any content material I figured I’d use this specific post to introduce myself, and give y’all a little bit of insight about what you should expect on this website and from me 🙂

My name is Alexis. I was born and raised in good ol’ Georgia. If you’ve never been to Georgia, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Come on over and see me! haha but really, Georgia is beautiful and if you like a good juicy peach then you can just about expect to see a “Peaches Next Exit” sign on most south Georgia free-ways. Not to mention that boiled peanuts are a MUST, and I find myself slamming on my poor car’s brakes every time I see some sweet old man selling them on the side of the road.

But enough about food, we’re talking about me right? 😉 I’m a 22 (23 in December) year old Georgia Southern college grad..go Eagles baby! If you’ve ever seen GSU’s campus you can understand why I immediately fell in love with the University.

Georgia Southern also brought me to my 4-year “home away from home”, Alpha Omicron Pi. As corny as it sounds AOll brought me my forever friends, as well as a bad a** costume box. Lol! I could go on and on about my wonderful sorority, but that’s for another day. So for now here’s a picture of me and some of my sisters/best friends.

The surreal feeling of being a college graduate never goes away. I graduated from college in May 2017, and now I’m forced into the real world where I pretend that I actually know what I’m doing. I can personally thank my wonderful father for teaching me how important it is to budget, even though I still spend all my money on beauty products, coffee, and Chick Fil a…oops. I am currently working as a Marketing Assistant at a wonderful company called Lowcountry Basement Systems. It’s a foundation and crawl space repair company, and my job is to load tons of content (blogs, job stories, social media, videos) onto their website to produce lots and lots of leads. I have a huge passion for social media and writing, and I’m interested in doing a little bit of freelancing on the side if anyone needs help with social media presence. You can check out some of my work on their Facebook page.

What to Expect

So you’re probably wondering what this blog is all about.. Well, picture yourself sitting in a rickety old wooden rocking chair on a wrap around porch with your sweet pup sitting next to you in the early morning as you sip your cup of coffee. There’s barely a cloud in sight, just the distant sun beginning to rise. There’s no sound of cars passing by, or the chatter of busy people as they begin their daily work routine. A simple and relaxing lifestyle that most southerners experience day to day. I have such a passion for this lifestyle, and I wanted to find a way to appreciate it and bring it to life so that others can appreciate it with me.

So as far as content goes, the sky is the limit! Expect some true southern recipes, monthly favorite beauty products, home decor, music, maybe a few history lessons here and there, and some perfect traveling ideas!

I hope that this introduction helped you get to know me a little more, and that you are excited about what is to come! Please give this post a ‘like’ or comment below with some ideas for future posts.

Talk to y’all soon!
